The Story

Some decks are designed. This one was summoned.

The Cauldron Tarot began as a wild idea between The Cauldron Creators, Kati and Nicole. We dared to ask: what would a tarot deck look like if it stepped off the cards and into the real world? And what if we built it with the talented vendors of our travelling witchy and weird market, The Cauldron Market?

Then we started the ritual.

Six photoshoots. Thirty-four gorgeous models. Countless hours of vision, coordination, and craft. The result is a beautiful, full-colour 78-card deck that honours the traditional Rider-Waite structure while breathing a new folk magic onto the cards.

Both timeless and alive, this is not a deck you simply read with. It is a deck you feel.

Every card carries the symbolic language inspired by the Rider-Waite tarot, directed, styled, and produced in-house by The Cauldron Creators and Elise Marie Images. No AI, no stock photography, no shortcuts.

The result is a cohesive, deeply personal deck that works as a reading tool, a collector's piece, and a work of art.

The Specs

• 78 cards in the full Rider-Waite structure (Major and Minor Arcana)

• Card size: 2.75" × 4.75"

• Card stock: 350gsm premium cardstock

• Finish: matte lamination both sides, plus spot UV

• Corners: rounded

• Professional offset printing, full colour both sides

The Box

Your deck arrives housed in a magnetic closure rigid box. A 2mm board wrapped in matte laminated art paper with spot UV detailing. This isn't a flimsy tuck box. It's the kind of box that sits on your altar or shelf and looks like it belongs there, sturdy enough to protect your deck through years of readings.

The Guidebook

Every deck includes a 64-page full-colour guidebook, printed on premium matte art paper. Inside: the meaning of every card upright and reversed, how to read with the deck, and the stories behind the imagery. The models, the locations, and the intention woven into each card. A companion that turns a beautiful deck into one you truly know.

The Photographer

We partnered with the talented Elise of Elise Marie Images to bring our vision to life. Six photoshoots, twelve-hour days, and a sea of mosquitoes over two and a half years.

Shipping & Local Pick-up

If you are local to Alberta there will be pick up options everywhere The Cauldron Market Travels: Edmonton, Hinton, Drayton Valley & Fort Saskatchewan. 

Shipping costs are collected after the campaign closes through BackerKit, so you pay actual carrier rates at fulfillment rather than estimates that may no longer be accurate. All physical rewards ship with tracking.

Fulfillment fine print:

Deck-only orders ship first. If you just want the deck, you're in the earliest shipping wave.

Add-ons add time. Stickers, prints, and extras take longer to produce and will push your whole order to a later wave. Deck + add-ons ship together, when everything's ready.

Complete your BackerKit survey early and quickly. The faster you confirm your details and add-ons, the faster we can pack and ship you. Slow surveys = slower shipping.

Local pickup means pickup. Local pickup is at our Alberta market events. It is not hand delivery. You'll grab your order from us at a market or local pick up spot not from your doorstep

International orders may be subject to customs duties and importtaxes on arrival. These are the responsibility of the recipient and outside our control. Local pickup is also available at our Alberta markets.

The Timeline

The campaign launches August 7, 2026 and runs 22 days, closing August 29. Funds are released by Kickstarter shortly after. We then place our production order, with manufacturing taking roughly four weeks. The finished decks are air freighted from our printer, arriving in Edmonton in the weeks that follow. After clearing customs and packing, fulfillment begins, with all physical rewards expected in your hands in time for winter gift-giving.

The Use of AI

No AI has been used in the creation of this deck. Not in the imagery, not in the design, not in the editing. Every card was conceived, photographed, styled, and crafted by human hands. This deck is entirely human made.
